Why Arabic Perfumes Are Taking Over the Fragrance World
Share
Arabic perfumes are taking the fragrance world by storm and it’s about much more than attractive prices. Today, Middle Eastern perfume houses are competing with designer brands through quality, creativity, performance and world-class perfumery.
A perfect example is renowned perfumer Jordi Fernández. His portfolio includes creations for major names such as Versace, Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Montblanc and Moncler, alongside prestigious niche houses. That same expertise can be found in Arabic perfumery: Fernández created La’dor Bakhur Classic by Laverne, a Saudi fragrance built around mandarin, violet, iris, patchouli and guaiac wood.
Performance is another reason for the rise. Arabic perfumery is famous for rich fragrance oils and bold concentrations, often featuring oud, musk, amber, vanilla and precious woods. These compositions can deliver impressive longevity, projection and sillage.
Innovation matters too. Sense by Laverne took more than a year and over 740 samples to develop before its final formula was selected.
Arabic perfumes prove that luxury is no longer defined by a designer logo or an expensive price tag. With talented perfumers, sophisticated compositions and powerful performance, Arabic fragrance houses are becoming serious competitors in global perfumery.
