How Georgina Rodriguez Made Sense by Laverne the Perfume Every Woman Wanted in 2024

I'll admit it upfront: I've followed Cristiano Ronaldo's career since I was a kid, so when his partner Georgina Rodriguez started popping up everywhere in Saudi Arabia after their move, I paid attention. But nothing quite prepared me for the Laverne collaboration.

Georgina Rodríguez released her first fragrance, Sense, in collaboration with Laverne, and the story behind it is genuinely wild the collaboration reportedly took over a year, and Georgina and perfumer Dalia Izem tested over 740 samples before landing on the final blend. Sense is a Floral Fruity fragrance built around top notes of blackcurrant and mandarin, a heart of orange blossom, jasmine, cashmere wood, and iris, and a musk base.

I picked up a bottle for someone close to me, and honestly, it's become a signature scent overnight. It's soft, feminine, doesn't scream for attention just lingers in the best way. It's not hard to see why the earlier Blue Laverne Bakhur she fronted reportedly crossed 200,000 bottles sold within days of her announcement.

What's stuck with me most is watching how this shifted things footballers' partners going from tabloid fixtures to actual product creators, not just faces slapped on packaging. Whether Sense kicked off a bigger trend of athlete-adjacent fragrance lines, I can't say for sure but it's hard to ignore the timing.
